Wilhelm Heinrich Mummenthey, born 20.9.1890 emigrated from a ship (shipping company Norddeutscher Lloyd) in New York on 10. July 1905 nearly fifteen years old. His brother Hermann Carl Mummenthey must have left Germany earlier and still younger. His granddaughter wrote in a letter that he, only 11 years old, when his father died, about three years later emigrated to U.S.A. His ancestry shows his relationship to the Harzer Mummenthey families.
